Non-Members

Our life changing support, as and when you need it.

Being a Non-Member

We know that not everyone needs continuing help and support but life can be unpredictable, and you may just need a one-off chat with someone, or just a few sessions to get back to normal. Or perhaps you just want to come along for our socials and make more friends.

We are introducing Non-Member services to allow you to access our fantastic services on a ‘Pay as You Go’ basis. Pay for what you need, when you need it, including help and support from practical advice and guidance to mental health, emotional support and wellbeing.

We work with all gender-diverse adults, including those who are questioning, no matter their journey. If you are struggling with a loved one’s transition, we can support you too. Get in touch with us to find out more.

We only work with people who are aged 18+. If you are under that age, we can signpost you to other relevant service providers.

We are currently working on developing our non-member services, if you would like to hear more about this and how to book, please complete the form below.

Social Groups

  • Our social groups offer a safe space for you to come and meet people. Great for combatting lonliness, sharing resources and good conversation over a cuppa. Being with community is so important and can help with mental health and wellbeing as well as a springboard along your personal transition ‘journey’.

Board in the City is a family-ran non-for profit cafe where everyone is welcome. They have a huge number of board games for all skill levels and interests so you are sure to find something to play. Our friendly volunteers will be there to welcome you, introduce you to the rest of the group and help you get settled in.

  • Second Thursday of every month.

    Upcoming dates are as follows:

    • 14th November 2024

    • 12th December 2024

    • 9th January 2024

    • 13th February 2024

  • The address is 38-40 Onslow Road, Southampton, SO14 0JG

More information about travel and accessibility can be found on their website https://www.boardinthecity.co.uk/

  • There is no need to book in advance to join our Board in the City social groups. Simply turn up and look for the BR Purple Flag or let the Board the the City staff know that you are there to join us and they will show you to our table.

  • We only ask that you cover the cost of your entry fee to Board in the City (£5), which we cover as part of our booking with them.

You will be asked to pay this to our volunteer to avoid confusion for the cafe staff. We would prefer if you pay by card but can accept cash.

We are excited to welcome non-members to our Board in the City socials.
