Being a Member

Joining our membership allows you to become part of our community and access all our services; including emotional and practical transition support, counselling, socials and more. We are always developing our services to meet the needs of our community and love to hear from our members what they would like to see.

We work with all gender-diverse adults, including those who are questioning, no matter their journey or ‘stage’. Whether you need help along your transition, want to talk to someone understanding about your wider mental health, or just want to make more friends in the community, join us today!

We only work with people who are aged 18+. If you are under that age, we can signpost you to other relevant service providers. If you are struggling with a loved one’s transition, we can support you too. Get in touch with us to find out more.

  • Being able to talk to other trans and non-binary people about issues we face and experiences we share is incredibly validating.

  • My trans daughter and I owe a lot to Beyond Reflections. They are a dedicated group of people who understand our situation and provide vital support and information

  • I can understand now how people can get on with their life and do things. I feel lighter now.

  • Without every one of you I would be SO much further from achieving... well, being myself.

  • Meeting other trans people and seeing I am not alone and being able to identify with others has helped me enormously in life and given me great hope and a rock to cling to in my transition journey.

  • For all of the faults in the world Beyond Reflections has always been there. Not only to help me find my voice but to help me form friendships.

Membership Fees.

Our membership structure is designed to foster a stronger sense of community by creating a fair way for all members to both receive and contribute to support. By participating, each member not only gains access to essential services but also helps sustain the collective well-being of our community. This shared responsibility allows us to continue growing and reaching more individuals facing healthcare inequalities and mental health challenges.

Our standard fee is £15 a month.

Students and those who are unwaged/suffering from financial hardship can access discounted rates. To access our reduced fees, members can complete a hardship fund upon application or at any time during their membership if their circumstances change. This is then assessed by the office staff and is usually approved.

We have a nominal monthly fee for all members. This decision was made with careful consideration and reflects our commitment to improving and expanding the support we provide. The funds from these fees are reinvested into Beyond Reflections, enabling us to continue offering affordable services to the broader community, and to expand our services to meet your needs.

The hardship fund is a ringfenced portion of money that we use to cover the costs of members who are unable to pay, or pay in full, for services received. This may be long or short-term; due to low income, inability to work, a recent unexpected large bill, or a variety of other reasons. If you would like to support our hardship fund, donate below!
